Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, Vice Chancellor, celebrated its 9th Foundation Week celebrations with a vibrant cultural extravaganza on 28th September 2025. The event featured over fifty enthusiastic student participants. The celebrations, marked by a series of cultural performances and competitions, exemplified the University’s commitment to fostering academic and cultural excellence.
The event was graced by the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, whose unwavering support continues to inspire HPNLU’s academic and cultural initiatives. Organized under the guidance by Dr. Sarita, Chairperson of the Student Enrichment Cell, the event saw collaborative efforts from the Cultural Wing, the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Intellectual Property Rights, and the Debate, Drama, and Literature Society. The day unfolded with a spectacular array of performances, including the Ganesh Vandana, dance, music, theatre, and a segment on GI Tag awareness, all showcasing the dynamic creativity of HPNLU’s students.
The competitions were judged by an esteemed panel of experts, including Dr. Ruchi Sapahia, Dr. Navditya Tanwar, Dr. Esha Sharma, and Ms. Akshita Dhiman for the dance events, and Dr. Mrityunjay Kumar and Dr. Ayush Raj for the singing competitions. The winners of the dance categories included PC-4 (Annie Bali), PC-6 (Swati Sharma), and TC-6 (Manya, Vrinda, Suhani, Maanya, Ana, Dhairya) in the Solo, Duet, and Group Dance Competitions, respectively. The Solo and Group Singing Competitions were won by Nayayika and Deepali & Group, respectively, whose performances left a lasting impact on the audience.
The day concluded with the electrifying performances of Bhangra and Nati, followed by a powerful staging of the theatre play “अँधा युग.” The evening celebrated the spirit of unity and camaraderie among students and faculty alike.
The Prize Distribution Ceremony recognised and honoured the exceptional contributions of all the winners, applauding their creativity, dedication, and passion. This successful culmination of the 9th Foundation Week celebrations reaffirmed HPNLU’s vision to cultivate an environment of holistic development, balancing academic rigour with artistic expression and cultural inclusivity.
