The Center for Comparative Public Law (CCPL) and the Center for Parliamentary Studies (CPS), Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla, under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Nishtha Jaswal, Vice-Chancellor, celebrated the Samvidhan Divas on 23.11.2023. On this occasion, a special lecture was organized on the topic “Epoch Making Journey of the Constitution of India during the last Seventy-Three Years” at the University Campus.
Prof (Dr.) R. Venkata Rao, Vice-Chancellor, Indian International University of Legal Education and Research, Goa delivered the lecture to the students and faculty members of the University. In his address, Prof. Rao discussed the journey and dynamism of the Constitution of India post-independence to current trends.
Prof. Rao emphasized the need for the students to learn the history of the making of our Constitution and so as to be able to understand the Constitution as it exists today.
The students took part in the celebrations for Samvidhaan Divas with fervour and thanked the Vice-Chancellor for organizing the event. Prof. (Dr.) SS Jaswal, Registrar, HP National Law University delivered the vote of thanks.
