Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla, celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India with great solemnity and patriotic fervour at the University campus. The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, HPNLU, followed by the National Anthem, in the august presence of the faculty members, officers, and staff of the University.
Addressing the gathering on this significant occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena highlighted the historical importance of Republic Day and the enduring relevance of the Constitution of India as the cornerstone of the nation’s democratic governance. She underscored the foundational constitutional values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, and emphasized the responsibility of academic institutions, particularly a national law university, in promoting constitutional awareness, ethical leadership, and respect for the rule of law.
The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor also acknowledged the contribution of educators and non-teaching staff in shaping an environment of academic excellence and institutional integrity. She called upon the University community to collectively reaffirm their commitment to nation-building through education, research, and service to society.
The ceremony was attended by faculty members and staff, who participated with a deep sense of pride and unity. The event concluded in a dignified manner, symbolizing HPNLU’s unwavering dedication to constitutional ideals and its continued pursuit of academic and national excellence.
