Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, successfully organized LEXCELERATE ‘25, its flagship event aimed at promoting entrepreneurial thinking among law students, on the 26th of September, 2025, as part of the Foundation Week Celebrations. The competition invited participants to pitch legal startup ideas, fostering a culture of innovation and practical legal solutions. The event, conducted in both hybrid and offline formats, saw participation from 25 teams and over 50 students representing premier institutions, including NLU Ranchi, Marwari University, Faculty of Law DU, and HPU.
The event was inaugurated in the esteemed presence of Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, Vice-Chancellor, HPNLU, Shimla, and was organized by Dr. Esha Sharma Bhagra and Dr. Deepika Gautam, and Dr. Sarita, Chairperson, Student Enrichment Cell, HPNLU. Distinguished judges Mr. Mohit Arora, Dr. Deepak Menaria, Mr. Alok Rai, and HPNLU alumnus Mr. Swastik Grover lent their expertise to evaluate the participants’ innovative ideas. In their presentations, the participants highlighted the feasibility, implementation, and potential impact of their startup ideas, receiving valuable insights from the judges, who offered constructive feedback to enhance the viability of the concepts.
This competition reaffirmed the commitment of the Student Enrichment Cell at HPNLU Shimla to foster an inclusive and vibrant legal culture. As part of the ongoing 9th Foundation Day Week celebrations, LEXCELERATE ’25 not only showcased the University’s dedication to nurturing entrepreneurial skills but also contributed to the celebration of its journey and future vision.
