Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, is proud to announce its selection for the Shri BR Ambedkar Grant for Legal Aid and Awareness under the esteemed Vidhi Vimarsh initiative. HPNLU, Shimla, is among a select group of institutions, chosen from over 30 participating law schools across India, to receive this prestigious grant for the current cycle.
This significant recognition has been achieved under the visionary leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, HPNLU, Shimla. The university’s Legal Aid Clinic, under the able chairmanship of Dr. Chandreshwari Minhas, played a pivotal role in securing this grant through its demonstrated commitment to advancing legal aid, community outreach, and awareness.
The Vidhi Vimarsh initiative is a nationwide effort aimed at strengthening the legal aid framework across law schools and fostering an ecosystem of accessible justice. The Shri BR Ambedkar Grant for Legal Aid and Awareness is awarded to institutions demonstrating outstanding commitment and capability in promoting legal literacy, access to justice for marginalized communities, and the implementation of impactful legal aid projects.
This grant will enable HPNLU, Shimla to further enhance its legal aid activities, organize community engagement drives, and support the development of innovative models for legal awareness, aligned with the vision of social justice espoused by Dr. BR Ambedkar.
