The Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission (HP Rajya Chayan Aayog), Hamirpur has released an important public notice regarding Junior Engineer (Civil) Post Code-970. The Commission will now declare the results of 10 candidates (Gen(UR)-6, EWS-1, OBC(UR)-3) and proceed with the process of appointing them in the Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department (HPPWD).
This decision is in reference to the public notice issued on July 10, 2024, in which it was said that the said posts would be withdrawn due to the abolition of the engineering wing in the Forest Department. At that time, a total of 11 posts were canceled.
Now the Chief Secretary of the State Government has made it clear through a letter issued on July 23, 2025 that 10 candidates successful in the examination conducted by the erstwhile Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission (HPSSC) will be accommodated in HPPWD. However, one post under SC (UR) category has not been included in this process.
The information issued by the Commission states that now HPRCA will soon declare the result for JE (Civil), Post Code-970, and the names of the selected 10 candidates will be recommended to the Public Works Department.
