To celebrate World Earth Day-2025 as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the State Board, the HPSPCB Regional Office, Kullu organized a consultation meeting on dated 22.04.2025 chaired by Anil Joshi (IFS) Member Secretary, HPSPCB, involving active participation from various stakeholder departments, district administration, Municipal Council Manali , Panchayats, Hydropower projects, HIMURJA, NGOs, the Hotelier Association, and other institutions at Mini Secretariat Manali. The meeting focused on deliberating sustainable development strategies and the promotion of renewable energy sources in the region. It was emphasized to have a collective approach for planning and implementation of activities aiming at sustainability.
To reinforce the message of environmental conservation, cleanliness drives were carried out in collaboration with the Manali Public School, Jagatsukh, Krich Cleaning Pvt. Ltd., and the Gram Panchayat Karjan in Karjan Forest area and similar activities were also undertaken with the support of Municipal Council Kullu, to maintain clean and green surroundings.
In addition to this, an awareness session was also conducted at Karjan and at PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Bashing, emphasizing the importance of environmental responsibility and the growing need to shift towards renewable energy solutions.
