Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) has sent notices to private B.Ed colleges that have not deposited the affiliation fees. Through the notice, 27 private B.Ed colleges have been instructed to deposit the fixed affiliation fees. Despite sending repeated reminders, this B.Ed colleges are not depositing the fees. In such a situation, the university administration has now sent a final reminder, i.e., notice, to the managements of such private B.Ed. colleges before starting counseling for admission in B.Ed. Now in the coming week, if the outstanding affiliation fees are not deposited by the managements of these B.Ed colleges, then from the new academic session 2025-26, new batches will not be able to sit in these colleges and HPU will not implement the counseling process for admission to the seats of these colleges.
Let us tell you here that Himachal Pradesh University has not yet released the counseling schedule for admission to B.Ed colleges under it. However, the affiliation fee has been deposited by 28 private B.Ed colleges under the university and now if the remaining private B.Ed colleges do not deposit the prescribed fee in the coming days, then the admission process will not be implemented in those colleges and they will not get recognition from HPU. The entrance examination for admission to B.Ed was held on 27 May and 7691 candidates have passed it.
Now in the coming days, if any college does not deposit the fee even after the time period given to the private B.Ed colleges to deposit the affiliation fee, then there will be no counseling for the seats of those colleges and the counseling schedule will be issued to start counseling for the seats of the remaining recognized B.Ed colleges. In this regard, Prof. BK Shivram, Dean of Studies, Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), said that 27 private B.Ed colleges have not yet deposited the outstanding affiliation fee. Notices have been sent to these colleges and instructions have been given to deposit the affiliation fees soon.
