In such a situation, the corporation management took immediate action and handed over the driver to the police. According to the information, bus of Shimla local depot of Transport Corporation H.P. 63 9790 was going from Shimla to Dharampur.
When the bus reached Dharampur station, its conductor Pankaj found that the driver’s behavior was not normal. After talking to him, he found that he was under the influence of alcohol. Then operator Pankaj-3 informed the base in-charge. Taking immediate action, the base in-charge sent Sub Inspector Saju Ram to the spot and took stock of the situation.
In this case an additional driver was sent there and the bus was transported. After this the driver Narottam was handed over to the local police. He is being medically examined. Preliminary investigation into this entire matter is going on.
R.M. Shimla local Vinod Sharma said that as soon as the matter came to notice, the bus driver was handed over to the police. Strict action will be taken against the driver.
