The effect of daily new experiments being done to bring the transport corporation out of losses is that HRTC has registered a record growth of 12 percent in the month of October. The Transport Corporation has earned Rs 2.72 crore on Deepotsav alone.
According to the information, HRTC has earned Rs 76.53 crore in the month of October, whereas in the month of October last year this figure was Rs 68.49 crore. This time the Transport Corporation has increased the passenger income by 12 percent. With this, the total income for the first 7 months of the financial year 2024-25 is Rs 63 crore more than the first 7 months of 2023-24, which is an increase of about 14 percent.
HRTC’s highest income was Rs 2.92 crore on October 30. Special Diwali buses have also contributed to this increase. Even on the day of Diwali, HRTC continued its services and provided relief to the people by taking them to their destination, hence the transport corporation earned an income of Rs 2.72 crore on Diwali also.
The total passenger income in the first 7 months this year was Rs 519 crore. This figure for 2023-24 was Rs 456 crore. The income during 2022-23 was Rs 458 crore. Even before Covid, this figure was Rs 503 crore in 2019-20. Thus the Corporation has worked very hard to achieve its best ever revenue performance in this financial year.
HRTC Managing Director Rohan Chand Thakur said that all this is the result of the hard work of the hardworking employees of HRTC, as a result of which the corporation not only transported passengers to their destination in the month of October but also made record earnings
