150 buses of BS-VI series are going to join the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) fleet next week. All these buses have been manufactured with modern technology and procured on the basis of international standards.
These buses are prepared at Tata Company’s Goa plant will reach Chandigarh via goods train. They will be taken to Nalagarh by road from Chandigarh. These buses will be sent from Nalagarh to various depots. Out of 150 buses of Tata Company, 25 buses are 28 seater, while 125 buses are 47 seater.
HRTC claims that passengers will get a comfortable journey in these buses. More mileage will also be available in less fuel. These buses are equipped with modern security features. Due to this, passengers will get comfortable journey as well as safety. HRTC Managing Director Sandeep Kumar himself went to Goa and did a test drive of these buses. The cost of buses is between 28 to 30 lakhs. With the introduction of new buses, the people of the state will get rid of Khatara buses. 146 Khatara buses of HRTC in the state will be replaced with these new buses.

The new HRTC buses have been fitted with comfortable seats for long journeys. With the facility of LED route board, more leg space has been kept between the seats in these buses, so that the passengers do not face any problem during long distance travel. Large carriers have been fitted to keep luggage inside the bus. Diggy facility has been provided at the rear of the bus.
