Shimla
A list of incomplete routes has been prepared instead of taking the actual routes
Approval has been received from the Cabinet, but the route chart will be revised
Recently, the Cabinet has allowed HRTC to surrender 168 routes. After this, the matter has come to the Transport Department, but the Transport Department has returned the list given by HRTC after scrutinizing it.
It is said that in the list prepared by the corporation, there are many routes which were not given to HRTC. Because the actual routes which were given to HRTC have not been written in this list, only incomplete routes have been included in it. At many places, HRTC ran its buses for some other place outside the route and now the matter has been sent for surrender. In such a situation, the Transport Corporation has been asked for information about the actual routes, so the matter has been sent back. Transport Corporation considers these routes to be loss making for itself. It wants private buses to run on these so that people get convenience and private operators can get profit on these. Because any route is expensive for Transport Corporation, whose cost is high, due to which it also incurs loss on the route, whereas private operators can run buses there at a lower cost. There are many such routes in Shimla city which HRTC is preparing to surrender.
HRTC is surrendering such routes in many parts of the state, but at present this matter has come back to it. After scrutinizing the entire list, the Transport Department has found that most of such routes are written in it
