IFS Officer Sushil Kumar Singla Given Additional Charge as Member Secretary of HP Pollution Control Board

Shimla: The Government of Himachal Pradesh has assigned additional responsibility to senior IFS officer Sushil Kumar Singla. As per an official notification issued by the Department of Personnel on April 1, 2026, Singla, who is currently serving as Secretary (Environment, Science Technology and Climate Change), will now also hold the additional charge of Member Secretary of the Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board.
The order has been issued in public interest and will come into effect immediately. The notification was released under the authority of Chief Secretary Sanjay Gupta.
Singla, a 1994-batch Indian Forest Service officer, is already handling key environmental portfolios in the state government. With this additional charge, he is expected to further strengthen environmental governance and regulatory mechanisms in Himachal Pradesh.
