Strengthening its commitment to cutting-edge research and innovation, Shoolini University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AWaDH (Technology Innovation Hub), Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar.
The collaboration aims to drive transformative advancements in translational research, technology transfer, and skill development.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Prem Kumar Khosla, Shoolini University and Dr. Pushpendra P. Singh, Dean Reasech and Development, Project Director IIT Ropar (iHub – AWaDH). Under this agreement, both institutions have committed to launching a Cyber Physical System Laboratory (CPS Lab.), which will serve as a hub for pioneering research and interdisciplinary technological development. The CPS Lab. will facilitate joint initiatives in translational research, technology transfer, and skill enhancement, providing students and researchers with hands-on experience in cutting-edge fields.
Additionally, the MoU paves the way for the introduction of a joint Minor Programme in Artificial Intelligence + X, comprising 15 credits. This programme, designed with a ‘Learning by Practice’ methodology, will be executed through the CPS Lab and will offer students joint certification from Shoolini University and IIT Ropar. The ‘X’ component of the programme represents interdisciplinary integration, allowing students to specialize in various fields, including agriculture, biotechnology, and management.
Speaking on the occasion, senior representatives from both institutions emphasized the significance of this partnership in bridging academia and industry, fostering an ecosystem of innovation, and equipping students with future-ready skills. The initiative is expected to significantly enhance research capabilities, strengthen academic ties, and promote multidisciplinary learning.
