The concluding ceremony of the 6-day capacity building camp organized under the aegis of Animal Husbandry Department, Pangi, under the National Livestock Mission, was held today at the Veterinary Hospital, Killad. SDM Pangi Raman Gharsangi participated in the program as the chief guest. 20 cattle herders from the valley participated in the camp. During this period, cattle rearers were given training about cow rearing, poultry rearing, sheep and goat rearing along with scientific methods and were also made aware about adopting animal husbandry in a commercial manner.
In the camp organized, important information related to various diseases spread among animals and their prevention and animal husbandry was given to the cattle farmers of the valley through projector. Under the National Livestock Mission, livestock farmers were also taken on a tour of poultry farms established at various places in the valley.
During this, Assistant Director Animal Husbandry Department Dr. Surender Thakur, Executive Senior Veterinary Officer Dr. Naresh Kumar and Veterinary Officer Dr. Anil were present.
