Anirudh Singh and Vikramaditya Singh inaugurated the project worth Rs 8.26 crore
Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Aniruddh Singh and Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh on Thursday inaugurated 03 lifts and 02 overbridges built in three phases from Vikasnagar to Brockhurst under the Smart City Project. The cost of the project is Rs 8, 25, 98, 961.
On this occasion, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Aniruddh Singh said that various projects are being completed in the city under Smart City and in this context, this lift will prove to be very helpful in getting rid of the problem of traffic jam in the city.
Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh said that this set of 03 lifts will provide great convenience to the people. People will reach their destination in less time.
On this occasion, both the cabinet ministers also heard the public problems.
25 minutes journey will be completed in just 05 minutes
Under this dream project of Ropeway and Rapid Transport System Development Corporation Limited, the lift will be operated and maintained by a single vendor for 5 years. This lift and overbridge will benefit people from Vikasnagar to Brockhurst. With this project, it used to take 20-25 minutes to cover 110 meters vertical and 160 meters horizontal distance, but now this journey will be completed in just 5 minutes with this lift.
There will be a flat charge of Rs 10 per person for the first stage of the lift and Rs 20 per person for the entire journey in the second and third stages of the lift. Only 20 passengers will be able to travel in this lift at a time.
