One of the world’s most picturesque cricket venues, the HPCA Cricket Stadium in Dharamshala, is set to host international cricket action once again. The Indian cricket team will take on Afghanistan in a One Day International (ODI) match at the venue on June 14.
According to the schedule released on the official website of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Afghanistan will tour India for a three-match ODI series. The first match will be played on June 14 at 1:30 pm in Dharamshala.
The second ODI will be held on June 17 at 1:30 pm at the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, while the third and final match of the series will take place on June 20 at 1:30 pm at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The Dharamshala stadium, with a seating capacity of around 22,500, has previously hosted international Tests, T20s, ODIs and IPL matches. The last international match at the venue was a T20 between India and South Africa in December last year. Cricket fans can now look forward to another thrilling contest at this scenic ground.
