An informative session on “Prevention of Sexual Harassment” (PoSH) was organised by the Office of Dean Student Welfare at Shoolini University on Wednesday.
The session was conducted by Advocate Shalini Sharma, a practicing advocate in the Himachal Pradesh High Court. With a passionate commitment to the cause of women’s rights and empowerment, she engaged the audience with a clear and comprehensive explanation of the PoSH Act and the wide-ranging areas it covers.
She shared real-life examples of cases she had personally witnessed, bringing to light the harsh realities of sexual harassment and its devastating impact on victims.
Throughout the session, Advocate Shalini demonstrated the significance of utilising government resources available to victims of sexual harassment. She provided relevant and helpful information about the various support mechanisms provided by the Government of India, empowering the attendees with the knowledge of how they can seek assistance when needed.
