Inter-House Debate on July 24 and Inter-House English Group Singing on July 26 were held at St. Thomas’ School, Shimla. Principal of the school Mrs. Vidhupriya Charkavarty presided over the function. The program started with lighting of lamps while Vice- Principal of the school Mrs. Sharon Nanda welcomed the judges and students present.


Students from class 9 to class 12 of the four houses of the school, Kasturi, Toshqui, Chinar and Shipkila House, participated in the inter-house debate competition. In which Chinar House won the overall first position, Aastha and Diya of Chinar House, Isha of Shipkila House, Disha from Kasturi House and Ridhi from Toshqui house were selected as the best speakers.


On the other hand, on July 26, the inter-house English group singing program was also attended by students from classes 9th to 12th. Different houses captivated everyone with their group singing. In this inter-house English group singing, Shipkila House secured the first position, Toshqui House was second, besides Chinar House was third and Kasturi House was fourth.

Principal Mrs. Vidhupriya Charkavarty, appreciated the unwavering efforts of the students and motivated them to participate in forth coming activities with more perseverance as these events help the students to boost their confidence and provide best opportunities by making them more confident and capable of facing any kind of platforms in their future endeavours.
