The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, in association with the EYUVA Centre and iHUB Shoolini, Shoolini University, organised an interactive session titled ‘Explore Taiwan’ to promote international academic and cultural exchange opportunities for students.
The session was conducted by Ms Hao Ching-Hsin (Jessie), Director and Mandarin Teacher, Taiwan Education Centre, Shoolini University. She interacted with pharmacy students and discussed potential academic collaborations and future study opportunities in Taiwan. Ms Hao provided an insightful overview of Taiwan’s rich culture, cuisine, education system, and research landscape, encouraging students to consider Taiwan as a destination for higher education.
During the session, Ms Hao introduced students to various scholarship and internship programmes available in Taiwan. These included scholarships offered by the Ministry of Education (MOE), the Huayu Scholarship, University-Provided Scholarships, and other Special Programme Scholarships. Internship opportunities such as the Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP), the International Internship Pilot Program (IIPP), and several Special Project initiatives were also highlighted.
She further briefed students on Mandarin language learning opportunities, including the Mandarin Scholarship, TOCFL (Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language), and various intensive and long-term Mandarin learning programmes.
Prof Deepak Kumar, Dean, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Chief Coordinator, EYUVA Centre, encouraged students to actively participate in the scholarship programmes offered by Taiwan.
