Mandi, July 20
To assess the damage caused in Karsog due to heavy rains, landslides and cloudburst, the inter-ministerial central team visited Karsog and took stock of the damage caused by this natural disaster.
The members of the central team visited Shankar Dehra, Sanarli, Sarkol and Kutti etc. places and assessed the damage.
The team members also saw the drinking water schemes of Jal Shakti Department, roads of Public Works Department, damaged cultivable land of Agriculture and Horticulture Department, gardens etc. affected by the disaster.
ADM Mandi Dr. Madan Kumar provided information to the central team regarding the damage caused by the natural disaster in Karsog area. He also informed about the relief and rehabilitation work done so far in the affected areas.
This central team included Wasim Ashraf, Director of CWC Shimla under the Ministry of Jal Shakti,
A.K., Chief Engineer of Regional Office Shimla of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Kushwaha,
Dr. Vikrant Singh, Joint Director in the Directorate of Wheat Development under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, and Dr. DC Rana, Director and Special Secretary Revenue, Disaster Management were present on behalf of the state government.
On behalf of the Karsog subdivision administration, SDM Karsog Gaurav Mahajan welcomed the central team at Shankar Dehra village and provided information about the damage caused by the disaster in the area.
On this occasion, Additional District Magistrate Dr. Madan Kumar, SDM Karsog Gaurav Mahajan, Dr. Murari Lal, and officers of the concerned departments were also present.
