Assured to prepare best football players in the campus

Sports are an essential part of education. The aim of good education is the physical, mental and moral development of the students. In the same tune, on the lines of the Fit India Mission and University Khelo Mission being run by the Government of India, the local APG Shimla University of the capital Shimla, APS Sports Training Pvt Ltd company on Monday collaborated jointly to engage students of APG Shimla varsity in sports activities along with their studies. In this context, a memorandum of understanding has been agreed and signed to join and promote sports spirts among students with the aim of all-round development of the students. Engineer Suman Vikrant, Chancellor of APG Shimla University, said that it is noteworthy that APG Shimla University from the new academic session is introducing value-based alternatives to the main points of physical education in the academic curriculum of the University to keep the students physically and mentally fit along with their studies in the campus. He said, and it is worth mentioning that international football player and coach Krishna Kumar Ekka will create better football players along with making the university students aware of the football game and for other sports under APS Sports Training Company to keep the students physically and mentally fit, moreover, experts in sports and other sports activities will be involved and to develop the sports sense in the students and the qualities of becoming good citizens along with becoming better sportsmen. In this context, APG Sports Club at the university level will be constituted, Chancellor Suman Vikrant said. “Under this sports club students can be kept away from increasing drug abuse and pyre-like intoxication in the society by associating students with various sports along with studies”, said Suman Vikrant. He added more tha “Memorandum of Understanding” signed with APG Shimla University to promote sports activities in the university, to create awareness about health, to get rid of depression and tension among the youth, and to keep students away from increasing drug abuse and to keep them mentally and physically fit. Later, international football player and coach Krishna Kumar Ekka, who has brought laurels to India at the national and international level, also interacted with the students in the auditorium of APG Shimla on various aspects related to sports, especially football game and career related to sports. Krishna Kumar Ekka assured the students that APG Shimla University would prepare the students interested in football in a better way and they would also be selected to play for various football clubs. He said that sportspersons who perform well at the state, national and international levels also get an opportunity to get jobs from the government in government service. He said that sports should be taken up along with studies in order to remain physically and mentally healthy as only healthy people lead the society and the nation towards progress. APS Sports and Training Company Director Sunil Kumar and his colleague Sarita also addressed the students that APG Sports and Training Company and APG Shimla university are committed to promote sports activities for the well-being of the students. He said that being associated with sports keeps a person away from addictions.
