IPS Dr Sagar Preet Hooda (1997 batch) has been appointed as DGP Chandigarh.

He was earlier in Delhi and holding additional charge of the Perception Management & Media Cell Division, as well as the Special Police Unit for Women and Children (SPUWAC) & the Special Police Unit for North-Eastern Region (SPUNER), the units responsible for crimes against women and children.
