Jagat Singh Negi should first take a class on decency and decorum, comments on the Prime Minister are not acceptable: Baldev Tomar
Shimla: Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Baldev Tomar has strongly condemned the vulgar and insensitive remarks made by Congress leader Jagat Singh Negi against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. He said that Jagat Singh Negi’s behavior not only reflects political indecency, but also demonstrates that Congress leaders have still not risen above their arrogance and frustration. He should publicly apologize for his comments against Prime Minister Modi.
Baldev Tomar said that whenever Jagat Singh Negi opens his mouth, some controversy or offensive statement always emerges. It seems as if he has developed a habit of speaking without facts. He added that this is the same minister whose speeches repeatedly bring public protests and criticism to the Congress government. Therefore, it is time for Jagat Singh Negi to take a special class on decency and decorum so that he does not have to regret his own words in the future.
Baldev Tomar said that Negi’s statements about Prime Minister Narendra Modi are completely baseless, childish, and insensitive. Saying that the Prime Minister is abroad during times of crisis is an insult to the people of the country. He said that Prime Minister Modi has provided decisive leadership in the national interest during every crisis, whether it’s the COVID-19 pandemic, border security issues, or natural disasters. The Prime Minister has always been at the forefront of public service. Modi’s foreign tours are meant to enhance India’s global reputation and investment prospects, but Congress leaders are finding this development journey inappropriate.
Reacting to Negi’s statement calling former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur a liar, Baldev Tomar said that leveling false allegations against a simple, honest, and hardworking leader like Jairam Thakur is a testament to the Congress party’s political frustration. During his tenure, Jairam Thakur worked for the development of every section of the state, while the Congress government today is known only for rhetoric and stagnant administration.
Baldev Tomar said that the only policy left for Congress leaders is to grab headlines by making baseless attacks on the Prime Minister and BJP leaders. But the public has now recognized this worn-out Congress politics. The more leaders like Jagat Singh Negi speak, the more they harm the Congress.
He warned that if the Congress leadership did not stop such statements, the public would give them a befitting reply in the upcoming elections. The BJP would continue to work on issues of development and national interest, while the Congress would remain engaged in the politics of lies and confusion.
