Nahan, 26 November. On the occasion of International Shri Renuka Ji Fair, Jal Shakti Department is making people aware about the quality of water. Jal Shakti Department has set up an exhibition stall in Renuka Ji Mela to make the rural people coming from remote areas aware about water quality testing.
Under the supervision of Wahida Malik, Block Source Coordinator of Jal Shakti Department, information regarding testing of water quality is being provided to the people coming to the fair in this stall. The objective of this exhibition is to make people identify polluted and clean water.
People are participating with great enthusiasm in this exhibition organized by Jal Shakti Department and gaining information related to water. People are also being provided information about water conservation in the exhibition.
In this exhibition organized by Jal Shakti Department, people are being made aware by testing the hardness, pH, chloride fluoride, iron nitrate, total alkalinity, turbidity etc. in water.
Information is also being provided by testing about the bacteria and germs available in water which mainly cause fatal diseases like vomiting, diarrhea, cholera etc.
Deputy Commissioner Sirmaur Sumit Khimta says that the Jal Shakti Department is making the devotees and tourists coming here on the occasion of the fair aware about the quality of water. He has urged people to take advantage of the water testing exhibition stall set up by the Jal Shakti Department.
