Solan police have arrested a supplier from Jalandhar, Punjab, with a consignment of chitta. Police have recovered 46 grams of chitta and cash worth Rs 8,000 from the accused. Police have taken this action on the basis of secret information. Police have also seized the vehicle involved in it and started an investigation. The accused is being produced in the court. It is being said that the accused was going to supply this chitta to the educational institutions in Solan and nearby areas.
The special police team was on patrol in the city. Information was received that a brown-colored car is parked in the parking lot of a hotel in Barog. A youth named Ravi Kumar is sitting in it who is involved in the chitta business. Acting on the information, the police team raided the parking lot and recovered 46 grams of chitta and cash worth Rs 8,000 from the youth Ravi Kumar, son of Baljeet Ram, resident of village Sail Kiana, post office Dayarpur tehsil Phillaur, Jalandhar, Punjab, sitting in the car.
The police have arrested the accused and started an investigation. On the other hand, SP Solan Gaurav Singh said that the above case was registered in Police Station Dharmpur. During the investigation of this case, the vehicle involved in the said case has been seized and taken into custody. The arrested accused is being presented in the court. The previous criminal record of the accused is being investigated. An investigation is going on in the case.
