Jaypee University, Himachal Pradesh Hosts Technical Interactive Workshop for Government Polytechnic College Principals
In a bid to foster collaboration and enhance technical education, Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat, hosted a one-day technical interactive workshop on April 5, 2024 for principals from various Government Polytechnic Colleges of Himachal Pradesh. The event, held at the university campus, provided a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and discussions on pertinent issues in technical education. Dr. Hemant Sood, Associate Professor, Dr. Ankush Tanta, Admission Officer and team from admission cell organized this one day technical interactive workshop.
The workshop commenced with an inaugural session, featuring welcome addresses from university officials and esteemed guests. Prof. A.K. Gupta, Dean of Academics & Research at Jaypee University, emphasized the significance of collaboration between academic institutions in advancing technical education and preparing students for the evolving industry landscape.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in a series of insightful sessions and panel discussions led by industry experts and seasoned educators. Topics ranged from curriculum development and pedagogical strategies to emerging technologies and industry-academia partnerships. Prof. Shruti Jain along with students displayed all the innovative projects.
Prof. Vivek Sehgal, HOD-CSE, Prof. Rajiv Kumar, HOD-ECE and Prof. Ashish Kumar, HOD-CE presented their departmental highlights and delivered the interactive session on leveraging technology in teaching and learning.
Principals of Government Polytechnic Colleges lauded the initiative, highlighting its role in promoting synergies between academia and industry. Such workshops are essential for staying abreast of the latest trends and best practices in technical education.
Attendees explored innovative approaches, including Computer Science labs, Civil Engineering labs, Electronics and Communication Engineering labs, Mitsubishi Factory Automation Lab, simulation tools, and online resources, to enhance the learning experience and bridge gaps in technical education delivery.
The workshop also facilitated networking and collaboration among participants. Principals exchanged ideas, shared success stories, and discussed potential areas for future collaboration, laying the groundwork for ongoing partnerships between institutions.
In his closing remarks, Prof. (Dr.) Rajendra Kumar Sharma, Vice-Chancellor of Jaypee University, expressed gratitude to all the participants for their active engagement and commitment to advancing technical education.
