The vibrant extravaganza of Le Fiestus`24 hosted by Jaypee Youth Club reached its peak of cultural brilliance and artistic flair on the lively campus of Jaypee University of Information Technology on its thrilling finale day, May 12th, 2024.
The inaugural day unfolded amidst a sacred aura of reverence and celebration, as a homage to the goddess of knowledge, Saraswati, through a spiritual invocation.
This solemn ceremony not only set the tone for the fest but also underscored the university’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and spiritual values.
The distinguished presence of esteemed guests, including Hon. Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Rajendra Kumar Sharma, Registrar Maj Gen Rakesh Bassi, Dean of Academics Prof. Dr. Ashok Kumar Gupta, Dr. Ruchi Verma, JYC faculty coordinator Dr. Naveen Jaglan and JYC President Shivansh Mehrotra, added gravitas to the occasion. Together, they inaugurated the festivities with the traditional lighting of the lamp. Amidst this auspicious beginning, the student coordinators of Jaypee Youth Club were also honoured for their invaluable contributions, marking the commencement of a three-day cultural journey that promised excitement, creativity, and unity.
Despite a brief disruption due to inclement weather, the university community showcased resilience, swiftly adapting to ensure uninterrupted festivities. Day 2, pulsated with creativity and passion as performers like ‘The Lost Fireflies’ and ‘DJ Mr. Singh’ captivated the audience with mesmerising musical enchantment, transforming the auditorium into a lively dance floor. Though judges Dhruva and Shagulfi Khan were unable to attend Day 1, their anticipated presence added to the anticipation and excitement surrounding the ongoing events.
Day 3 of the fest, dubbed “Echo Expressway,” commenced with an air of anticipation and excitement as the campus adorned itself in resplendent decorations, setting the stage for a memorable finale. The festivities began with a performance by the renowned comedian, Parvinder Singh, whose comedic genius elicited peals of laughter from the audience, setting a jovial tone for the day ahead. As the evening descended, the campus came alive once again with the beats of DJ Elina Chauhan, whose infectious tunes transformed the atmosphere into a pulsating dance floor, where students danced the night away in jubilant celebration.
However, the true highlight of the evening was the star performance by the acclaimed singer, ‘Akhil Sachdeva’. Taking the stage amidst a sea of eager faces, Sachdeva held the audience spellbound with his soulful melodies, weaving a tapestry of emotions that resonated deeply with all present. His performance, which extended well into the midnight hours, served as the crowning moment of Le Fiestus`24, leaving an indelible imprint on the hearts and minds of all who bore witness to his artistry.
Throughout the festival, the campus pulsated with energy and excitement, as students, faculty and staff from all walks of life came together to celebrate the rich tapestry of cultural diversity that defines the university community. The three-day celebration of Le Fiestus`24, with its themed days ‘Folklore Freeway’, ‘Rhythm Route’ and ‘Echo Expressway’ was a testament to collaborative efforts between ‘The TribeVibe’, ‘United Production’, ‘Bharat Bass Festival’ and the JYC student body, along with the unwavering support of media partners Divya Himachal, Live Times and Himachal Tonite, ensured that Le Fiestus`24 was an unparalleled success.
As the curtains drew to a close on Le Fiestus`24, everyone was left with memories that will be cherished for years to come. The festival not only showcased the immense talent and creativity of the university community but also stood as a testament to the indomitable spirit and resilience that define them as a collective. As Le Fiestus came to a close, hearts were filled with gratitude and anticipation for the wonders that the future holds.
