Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat, proudly organized the final round of STEM Quest — a National Level Quiz Competition centered around Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) — welcoming bright young minds from across Himachal Pradesh and various other states. The grand event took place on Sunday, 13th April 2025 at the serene and scenic JUIT campus.
STEM Quest, which embarked on its journey in November 2024, witnessed enthusiastic participation from numerous reputed schools across the region.
After a series of intellectually stimulating rounds, students from Class 12, accompanied by their proud parents, gathered at the JUIT Waknaghat campus to compete and engage in a celebration of knowledge, curiosity, and innovation. This event was not only a competitive platform but also a wonderful opportunity for students and parents to explore the state-of-the-art infrastructure and experience the academic vibrancy of JUIT Waknaghat.
On this momentous occasion, Hon’ble Shri Manu Bhaskar Gaur, CEO of JUIT, expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the participants and their mentors. He emphasized,
“At JUIT, we believe in nurturing the problem-solvers and innovators of tomorrow. STEM Quest reflects our commitment to fostering scientific thinking and critical reasoning from an early stage. I congratulate all the participants and urge them to continue exploring, questioning, and learning.”
Adding to the celebratory mood, Prof. R.K. Sharma, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of JUIT, shared his insights:
“JUIT takes pride in being a hub of academic excellence and research-driven learning. Events like STEM Quest are designed to inspire young minds to pursue knowledge without boundaries and to transform their passion for science and technology into impactful solutions for the future.”
Brig. (Retd.) R.K. Sharma, Registrar and Dean of Students, while interacting with students and parents, extended a warm welcome and shared his reflections on the role of such initiatives. He remarked,
“This competition is more than just a contest — it is a celebration of curiosity, collaboration, and intellectual spirit. At JUIT, we are committed to creating an environment where students not only excel academically but also grow into responsible and visionary citizens.”
A dedicated team of JUIT faculty and staff members worked extensively for last 5 months to accomplish this herculean task. Admission Officer Dr. Ankush Tanta and Admission Coordinator Mr. Praveen Kumar played a crucial role in the successful organization of this event. The university is proud to foster and celebrate young talent, and such initiatives stand as a testament to JUIT’s dedication to promoting scientific temperament and nurturing future leaders.
