The Inaugural Ceremony of HimachalTeck League 2024 was held on 14th September 2024 at the Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) Auditorium, celebrating innovation and technological advancements in agriculture. Organised by the Enkindle Club (CSE/IT) of JUIT in collaboration with Vignan Learning Solutions and TeckyBot, the event focused on the theme “Where Innovation Meets Agriculture,” highlighting the impact of technologies such as AI, Robotics, Drone Technology, IoT, 3D Printing, and Clean Energy on the future of agriculture. Mr. Aaditya Sharma and Mr. Kunal Sharma were the main organisers of the event from Vignan Learning Solutions and Mr. Venkat Reddy , CEO of TeckyBot. The event was organised under the guidance of Prof. Ranjendra Kumar Sharma, Vice chancellor.
The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including Prof. Ashok Kumar Gupta, Dean of Academics and Research; Brigadier RK Sharma, Registrar and Dean of Students; Prof. Vivek Sehgal, Head of the CSE/IT Department; Prof. Rajiv Kumar, Head of the ECE Department; and Prof. Shruti Jain, Associate Dean of Innovation. Guests of Honour, Mr. Guman Thakur and Mr. Surender Rangta, represented Mr. Rajesh Sharma, Director of Samagra Shiksha, Himachal Pradesh. The faculty coordinators, Dr. Aman Sharma and Dr. Diksha Hooda of Enkindle Club , JUIT ; were also acknowledged for their efforts along with the student coordinators and members of the club. With participation from 14 schools and 3 universities from Himachal Pradesh, more than 200 students competed in two divisions: the Junior Division (grades 6 to 12) tackling challenges in 3D Printing, Robotics, Drone Technology, and Clean Energy, and the Senior Division (university-level) focusing on advanced problems in AI, Robotics, IoT, and Drone Technology in agriculture. The event commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony, where the dignitaries, including the Guests of Honour and the faculty coordinators, symbolically lit the lamp, followed by a Saraswati Vandana.
The esteemed jury panel consisted of experts like Dr. Vikas Baghel, Mr. Sandeep Verma, Prof. Pankaj Vaidya, Dr. Rajesh Kanwar, Mr. Inder Mohan Bathla, Prof. Shruti Jain and Mr. Venkat Reddy (CEO of TechyBot), who were honoured for their role in evaluating the participants. The event concluded with insightful speeches from Prof. Ashok Kumar Gupta, Prof. Vivek Sehgal, Mr. Surender Rangta and Mr. Venkat Reddy, who encouraged participants to leverage technology to solve agricultural challenges. The HimachalTeck League 2024 successfully celebrated technological innovation, fostering creativity and excellence in agriculture, leaving a lasting impression on all involved. The closing ceremony was held in the afternoon and various students in different categories won prizes in junior and senior division.
