The IEEE JUIT Student Branch, in collaboration with IEEE R10 education activities and IEEE Delhi section, organised a one-week workshop on “MEGA-DRONE” from August 24 to August 30, 2023, at the ECL5 facility of Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT). Dr. Vikas Baghel, the coordinator of e-Yantra, an initiative supported by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) at IIT Bombay, served as the event’s esteemed resource person. This workshop aimed to delve deeper into the world of drones, focusing on their benefits, applications, types, and motions. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Ashok Gupta, Dean Academics and Research, JUIT, Prof. Sunil Khah, Mentor IEEE JUIT SB, Prof Shruti Jain, Branch Counsellor JUIT SB and Dr. Yugal Kumar, CSE Deptt.
The Megadrone workshop began by highlighting the value of drones in modern life. These aerial marvels have evolved in a fascinating way, from simple flying vehicles to complex, adaptable machines. They have evolved as a result of human inventiveness and advancement in technology. The workshop included a crucial section on the complex movements and moves that drones are capable of. Participants gained knowledge of drone technology, navigational principles, and autonomous flight principles. For drones to reach their full potential in many domains, it is essential to comprehend these actions. In conclusion, the Megadrone Workshop gave participants a thorough overview of the history, advantages, uses, types, and motions of drones. It highlighted the crucial part that drones play in contemporary society, boosting productivity, effectiveness, and safety in a variety of businesses. These aerial vehicles have automated chores, cut down on operational expenses, and allowed humans to operate in dangerous or difficult situations. The influence of drones is expected to grow even more as technology develops. This programme inspired participants to explore new uses for drones and make contributions to the rapidly developing field of drone technology while also educating them about the current capabilities of drones. This course was a worthwhile educational experience thanks to Dr. Vikas Baghel’s experience and ideas, giving participants the knowledge and zeal to embrace the endless possibilities of the “MEGA-DRONE” era.
