Jaypee University organized a Trek and Swachta Abhiyaan with 14 NCC Cadets of 1 HP battalion, Solan. On this occasion, ANO Pragya Gupta and CTO Dr. Amit Jakhar with all NCC cadets started their journey from JAYPEE UNIVERSITY to the Holi Temple of Mata Taradevi at 7:00 am in the morning on 18th Sept., 2022.
This famous temple is located between Shimla & Shoghi in Himachal Pradesh and is situated 1851 meters above sea level. From Mall Road Shimla, and from Jaypee University, it is merely 18 km in distance. Everyone reached the beginning point by university bus. On reaching the temple, everyone prays for the well-being of the society, and later when done with prayers everyone enjoyed a delicious meal of Bhandara. At 11:30 am everyone was ready to go back. On the returning way, all carried garbage bags and cleaned the path. All the unwanted plastic and bottles were picked up and hand over to the right place with awareness among the people. Jaypee University organizes these kinds of social work and campaigns frequently at different locations near its vicinity to keep the environment clean and also keep the concern aware regarding many social issues.
