Demonstrating a strong commitment to social responsibility, Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat organized a successful Blood Donation Camp at its University Auditorium under the banner of the Red Ribbon Club (RRC). The initiative was conducted in collaboration with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) and the National Cadet Corps (NCC), JUIT, in association with the Blood Bank of Maharishi Markandeshwar (MMU) University, Solan.
The camp was held under the guidance of Dr. Jay Prakash, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), JUIT, and supervised by a team of qualified medical professionals from MMU Hospital, ensuring strict adherence to safety, hygiene, and standard medical protocols.
Coordinated by student leaders A.C. Katoch and Kashish Thakur of the Red Ribbon Club, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff. With a steady and uninterrupted flow of donors, the collection drive moved swiftly from the first unit to the sixtieth, enabling the MMU Blood Bank’s target of 60 units to be achieved in record time.
The overwhelming response highlighted the university community’s collective spirit of service, compassion, and commitment toward saving lives.
