Solan
The cadets Jaypee University of Information Technology Solan get a chance to learn with the experience and knowledge of the PI staff Havaldar Kuldeep Singh and BHM Satish regarding to Weapon Training, Map Reading and DST. To improve the individual level of awareness, increase an individual skill’s, increase an individual’s motivation towards any field, the training is the necessary part. Training lies in the opportunity to strengthen our existing skills and learn new ones. Keeping all this in mind the cadets of JUIT Waknaghat utilize and took advantage of each second’s to learn from the knowledgeable PI Staff during their visit to the campus.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:
The day commenced with cadets having a hearty breakfast at the university’s mess itself. At 0930 hours all cadets gathered at BBC and did the necessary. From 10:00 AM onwards Jai Lal Sir taught us about the basics of Map Reading and then at 10:45 AM the PI Staff arrives at the campus. We welcomed them warmly under SUO Hardik Sangal. Then they taught us about Weapons and map reading respectively.
In the 1st half, they taught us about weapons such as
1) .22mm deluxe rifle
2) .22mm MK-IV rifle
3) 7.62mm SLR
Each and every cadet has handled the weapon.
After Weapon Training we have a short break. And thereafter in 2nd half cadets got familiar to compass and map reading.
Then at the end, the instructor taught us about the DST and we did drill for it.
In lasts the event end at 3:35 pm with the successful time management.
It was a successful event as each cadet leaves the BBC after learning something about the weapons, map reading and DST. The active participation from the cadets showcased their will to learn as well as at some stage to help the people of our nation.
