Meeting held under chairmanship of DM regarding law and order during monsoon session
The officers of the District Administration and Police Department should keep a close watch from every aspect to maintain law and order so that no kind of disorder arises during the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Monsoon Session-2025.
District Magistrate Shimla Anupam Kashyap gave these directions while presiding over a meeting with the sector officers of the District Administration and Police Department at Bachat Bhawan here today. He said that the monsoon session of Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly will be held from 18 August to 2 September, 2025. During this, the sector officers of the District Administration and Police Department should work in close coordination so that the successful conduct of the monsoon session can be ensured.
Vidhan Sabha area divided into 05 sectors
The District Magistrate said that for the monsoon session, the District Administration has divided the Vidhan Sabha and its surrounding area into 05 sectors and a sector officer has been appointed in each sector. He said that these sectors include Vidhan Sabha Complex along with Vidhan Sabha Chowk, Ambedkar Chowk Chaura Maidan near Cecil Hotel, Vidhan Sabha Bifurcation Cart Road Kennedy Chowk to Chaura Maidan, Cart Road and CTO.
Comprehensive security plan prepared – SSP
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shimla Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi said that a comprehensive security plan has been prepared for the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Monsoon Session and a detailed briefing has also been done with all the concerned police officers so that no person violates the law and order during this period. He said that during the Vidhan Sabha session, the police department will keep a close watch on every aspect in view of internal and external security. The security arrangements will be ensured in coordination with the CID.
