The capital Shimla is still experiencing a slew of landslides brought on by the rain. The buildings constructed on the hill here are in danger of landslides from the hill next to Himland as a result of Wednesday’s rain in Shimla. Stones and debris are dropping from the mountainside all the time. This has raised the possibility that the homes above will collapse. In order to prevent water leaks, people have covered this area with tarps, however many building owners have temporarily left their homes out of concern for safety. People are now being shifted to different places. Shimla is still experiencing rain; therefore, there is still a risk here.
At the same time, a landslide has occurred on the road of Kamna Devi temple in Boileauganj of the city. Due to this, clouds of danger are looming over the surrounding houses. Landslides are happening from the hill here; in such a situation the road to the surrounding residential areas can also be closed because the debris is falling slowly. In such a situation the local people have demanded to take appropriate steps on this matter soon. Due to rain, waterlogging has occurred on roads and streets in the city and people have faced problems in commuting. Mayor Surendra Chauhan has given instructions to clean the blocked drains and sewers.
