The annual fest Le Fiestus held at Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat, is a magnificent showcase of various art forms, customs, and traditions from different regions of the country. The fest aimed to promote cultural diversity and provide a platform for students to showcase their talents. Inaugurated on 27/04/23 at the university BBC with startling environment, the event started with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony by the chief guest and other members of the JYC student body. The event was divided into several segments, each highlighting a different cultural aspect, which included dance performances, music, and skits performances were presented by the students of the JUIT, and each performance was unique and captivating. The highlight of the event was the fusion dance performance, which combined classical, folk, and western dance forms. The choreography was well-coordinated and received a thunderous applause from the audience. Another notable performance was the traditional music performance, where students played various instruments such as the tabla, sitar, and flute. The fest also had a segment where students presented skits on social issues such as gender equality, environmental conservation, and mental health awareness.
The skits were well-written and conveyed powerful messages. DJ night in the end managed to keep up the thrill and excitement in the students and they enjoyed dancing to different numbers. In conclusion, the first day was mesmerising. It provided a platform for students to showcase their talents and promoted cultural diversity. The event was well-organised, and the performances were outstanding. The event received a positive response from the audience, and it was evident that they thoroughly enjoyed the performances. Such events are essential to preserve our cultural heritage and promote unity in diversity.
The second day was a perfect blend of entertainment, fun, and laughter. The event aimed to provide students with an opportunity to unwind and enjoy their time with friends. The second day began with games and performance by faculty members of JUIT. A well planned musical antakshari was organized for the faculty and staff members of JUIT where many faculty members along with Registrar sir participated with an enormous amount of energy. It was followed by the musical chair where a blend of participation was observed. Yash Rathi, the comedian had the audience in splits with his witty one-liners and hilarious jokes, he also interacted with the audience and made the event even more engaging. The DJ night began where all students danced to the beats of the DJ’s music. The DJ played a mix of popular tracks and kept the crowd entertained throughout the night. The dance floor was packed with students, and the atmosphere was electrifying. The games, shows and DJ night was well-organised and provided students with a chance to both compete and bond with their peers. As expected, the second day of the event at JUIT was also a huge success. The DJ night, games, and comedy night provided students with a much-needed break from their studies and allowed them to have fun with their friends. The event was well-organised, and the participants thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Such events are an essential part of college life, as they promote social interaction and provide students with an opportunity to de-stress. Overall, the event was a memorable experience for everyone involved.
