Young generation should stay away from drugs: Ramnik Sharma
The Sub-Divisional Legal Services Committee, Dalhousie, organized a legal literacy camp at Chinar Palace in Banikhet, which was presided over by Additional District and Sessions Judge Ramnik Sharma. The camp’s main themes were “A Drug-Free Society, India’s Pledge, Environmental Protection, Land Resource Conservation, and Disaster Victim Rehabilitation.”
In his address on this occasion, Ramnik Sharma urged the youth to stay away from drugs, build a bright future for themselves, and provide a positive direction to society. He said that drug addiction not only ruins individual lives but also weakens society as a whole.
Ramnik Sharma said that every person who strives for a drug-free society and environmental protection is a true patriot. He said that unexpected disasters have been occurring in recent years due to the deteriorating environmental balance. He said that every citizen needs to make personal efforts towards environmental protection and a drug-free society, only then can the coming young generation be saved from the clutches of drugs. He said that the increasing prevalence of drugs is leading to a decline in the moral values of society. He appealed to the young generation to never use drugs in their lives and to keep distance from friends and colleagues who consume any kind of drugs.
During the program, the participants who took part in the camp were also honored by the chief guest.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Nikhil Agarwal was specially present in the camp.
In the camp, Judicial Magistrate and President Sub-Divisional Legal Services Committee Dalhousie Divya Sharma honoured the chief guest by presenting him a shawl and cap.
In this legal literacy camp, Advocate Nitin Mahajan explained the rights of arrested individuals, R.L. Thakur explained the Motor Vehicles Act, and Aditya Mahajan explained the N.I. Act. Police and fire department officials, along with students from Satya Sai Public School, Banikhet, Guru Nanak Dev Public School, Dalhousie, and DAV College, Banikhet, provided valuable information about the camp’s main theme: “A drug-free society, India’s resolve, environmental protection, land resource conservation, and disaster-affected rehabilitation.”
On this occasion, Deputy Superintendent of Police Mayank Sharma, Tehsildar Dalhousie Ramesh Chauhan, officers of various departments, representatives of social organizations, local residents and a large number of students from various educational institutions were also present.
