District Legal Services Authority Solan organized a legal literacy camp in Gram Panchayat Nahri of Dharmpur development block today. The camp was presided over by Akanksha Dogra, Secretary of District Legal Services Authority and Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Solan.
Akanksha Dogra said that under Article 39A of the Constitution, equal justice is provided to all citizens and free legal aid is provided to eligible citizens. Under this, there is a provision to provide free legal aid to women, children, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe people whose income is less than Rs 03 lakh.
He provided comprehensive information about getting legal aid from the toll free number 15100 of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA). He urged people to settle pending cases in the court through mediation and Lok Adalat. This will save time as well as money.
Akanksha Dogra said that Lok Adalat will be organised on 13th September.
On this occasion, he also provided information about the physical side effects of drug addiction and the legal provisions and legal proceedings related to it.
Akanksha Dogra honored senior citizens on the occasion of Senior Citizens Day. She provided information to the senior citizens about the legal rights, welfare and maintenance of senior citizens.
On this occasion, the people present received solutions and guidance through questions regarding law related matters.
In the camp, Ambalika Rana, clinical consultant of Employees State Insurance Scheme Hospital Parwanoo, provided detailed information about HIV and AIDS.
On this occasion, Pradhan Himanshu Gupta of Gram Panchayat Nahari welcomed everyone including the chief guest of the camp and thanked the authority for organizing the camp.
Deputy Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Nahari Pankaj Sharma, former Deputy Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Nahari Manmohan Vashishth, Ward Member of Gram Panchayat Nahari Usha Rani, Panchayat Secretary Shyam Dutt, Pradhan of Mahila Mandal Mashobra Dev Nandini, members Krishna, Geeta Bimla along with senior citizens and villagers were present.
