Shimla
Leopard has been seen in Jhanjheedi area of Shimla district. The leopard was roaming outside the houses at night, which has been captured in CCTV. The leopard is seen in the area at around 8.30 pm in the night.
According to the locals, the leopard first came out of the courtyard of the house, then went for hunting at another place, but the leopard did not attack anyone. The local called the forest department.
Vishal, a resident of Jhanjhidi, told that a leopard was seen here earlier also. Because of this there is fear among people. The information has been given to the Forest Department. Hope the administration will catch it as soon as possible, so that it does not harm anyone.
Local people said that apart from pet dogs, the number of stray dogs is also high here, due to which the leopard must have come to hunt, but due to the appearance of the leopard, it has become difficult even to send small children to school. The Forest Department team should take immediate action.
Last year, a child was killed by a leopard in Krishna Nagar, Shimla, after which the Forest Department started searching for the violent leopard and caught it. Posters have been put up at many places by the Forest Department on how people should be careful with such predatory animals.
