Objections and suggestions regarding establishment and adjustment of polling stations should be registered by August 13- Deputy Commissioner
Nahan, 07 August. District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Sirmaur Priyanka Verma issued a press release and informed that as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, all the five assembly constituencies of Sirmaur district including 55-Pachhad (SC), 56-Nahan , 57-Shri Renuka Ji (SC), 58-Paonta Sahib and 59-Shilai which is also included in 4-Shimla (SC) parliamentary constituency, draft lists of polling stations of all these constituencies have been prepared.
He informed that the draft lists of polling stations will be available for inspection by the general public from August 07 to August 13, 2025 at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Electoral Registration Officer and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Pachhad’s Sarahan Office, Nahan, Sangdah, Paonta Sahib and Shillai and all the tehsils/sub-tehsils of the district.
He informed that if the general public has any objection or suggestion regarding the establishment and adjustment of the lists of these proposed polling stations, then they can submit their suggestions and objections to the Deputy Commissioner’s office or the concerned Electoral Registration Officer and Sub-Divisional Magistrate by August 13, 2025.
He informed that the objections and suggestions received from the general public will be settled by the District Election Officer by August 18, 2025.
