Shimla: An orientation session for parents was organized at the Gonzaga Auditorium of Tara Hall, Loreto Convent School Tara Hall. The programme was held under the theme “Excellence in Unison”, aimed at strengthening holistic development of students, discipline, and collaboration between the school and parents.
The session featured life skills trainer and motivational speaker Zion Sekhar and education professional Amisha Raphael as resource persons. Zion has previously served as Vice Principal at Don Bosco School in the North East and is known for his work in life skills training and motivational speaking.
The programme began with a welcome address by Sister Apolina, who highlighted the transformative power of education. This was followed by a presentation from the school administration informing parents about school rules, discipline guidelines, examination procedures, and attendance requirements.
During the session, special emphasis was placed on the school’s zero-tolerance policy towards issues such as bullying, substance abuse, use of abusive language, unfair means in examinations, irregular attendance, and digital discipline.
School Principal Ritu Sharma urged parents to work closely with the school in nurturing values such as honesty, discipline, respect, and strong moral character among students.
In his motivational address, Zion spoke about the importance of positive thinking, living life with happiness, gratitude, forgiveness, and family support. He emphasized that the joint efforts of parents and schools are essential for shaping a better future for children.
The session concluded with parents expressing appreciation for the informative and inspiring initiative taken by the school.
