Shimla: 24 November 2025
Mahsu Art Society Shimla proudly presents ‘Sacred Circles’, a solo exhibition of paintings by emerging Mandala artist Ruby Bhatnagar, to be held from 25 to 27 November 2025 at Tavern Hall, Gaiety Theatre, The Mall, Shimla. The exhibition will be formally inaugurated by chief guest Deputy Commissioner, Solan, Sh. Manmohan Sharma (IAS). Curated by Dr. Bhader Singh, Founder of Mahsu Art Society Shimla, the exhibition marks a significant milestone in the artist’s journey and aligns with the Society’s mission to promote self-taught and underrepresented artistic voices.
About the Exhibition
The exhibition ‘Sacred Circles’ features an exquisite collection of Mandala artworks by Ruby Bhatnagar, whose art beautifully weaves together devotion, meditative rhythm and sacred geometry. Each artwork is a result of intense focus, stillness and mindfulness, reflecting the artist’s belief that art can bridge the inner self with the divine.
Each Mandala is both a contemplation and a manifestation. The artworks presented in this exhibition reflect years of dedicated self-learning, spiritual exploration and artistic refinement. The exhibition features all forms of Mandalas, each distinct in theme and technique. Few of them are:
• The Peacock Mandala: celebrated for its vibrant, jewel-like detailing and symbolic luminosity.
• The Spiritual Thematic Mandala such as Shiv Shakti Mandala depicting the cosmic union of consciousness and energy through the sacred Shri Chakra.
• The Ornate Mandala: inspired by Persian and Islamic motifs, layered with intricate patterns and rich hues.
• The Botanical Dot Mandala: a large floral composition created through thousands of precisely placed dots.
Curatorial Note
Curator Dr. Bhader Singh notes that Ruby’s Mandalas reveal a refined command of line, color and form, transforming meticulous craft into a visual language that connects the inner self to the divine.
