Martyrdom Day will be celebrated by Smriti Manch Dadi on 25th August

Dharamshala, August 21: Martyr Major Durgamal and Captain Dal Bahadur Thapa Smriti Manch Dadi will celebrate August 25 as Martyrdom Day.
Giving this information, Smriti Manch’s spokesperson Vijay Mahajan said that on this day, at 11.00 a.m., homage will be paid to martyrs Major Durgamal and Captain Dal Bahadur Thapa in a simple ceremony at Shaheed Smarak Dadi. In the program, Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation and Vice Chairman (Cabinet Rank) of Tourism Development Board, R.S. Bali will attend as the chief guest.
It is notable that martyr Major Durgamal, who was a fierce warrior of the Azad Hind Army in the freedom struggle, was hanged on August 25, 1944 and Captain Dal Bahadur on May 3, 1945 at the Red Fort in Delhi by the British government.
