Shoolini University conducted its annual MBA Placement Committee elections for the year 2020, in which Rishab Sharma, a 2nd-year MBA student, was appointed as the Chairman of the placement committee.
The others elected members of the committee were Ashutosh Singh, Devanshi Sharma, Diksha Bhandari, Harsh Gandhi and Shailja Thakur. Those elected from the first year of MBA were Aishwarya Singla, Kartika, Arzoo Kamboj, Tanya Porwal, Nirman Kaushik, and Satyam Kumar.
The elections were held under the supervision of Director of Management Studies, Prof. Kuldeep Rojhe, along with Faculty of Management Science and Liberal arts (FMSLA).
Elections were conducted in a virtual mode in which 24 students filed their candidature. There were 13 candidates from MBA second year and 11 from MBA first year.
The election campaign started with canvassing from a week prior to the Election Day.
An Open virtual debate was organised among the candidates in order to present their statement of purpose for the position of responsibility. The casting of votes was done through eUniv portal. Regarding the security agendas of eUniv portal, the information was circulated a couple of days before the Election Day.
Placement committee members have different kinds of responsibilities, as these members are link between the companies and the students. Responsibilities include conducting a smooth placement drive along with internships, updating data of the companies for future reference and updating the data of students, the hospitality of the placement companies, anchoring students and their needs, conducting and organising various symposium and seminars for the development and enhancement of student’s personality and their acumen.
Prof. Kuldeep Rojhe, Director MBA Programme said the “Student placement committee supports the entire placement season of MBA Programme. Its work involves providing a link between faculty members, students and companies. The previously elected members of the placement committee are now placed with reputed organisations extended their support as well to the newly elected members”, he added.
