From sending packages and speed post overseas, the McLeodganj Post Office made 1.65 crores, which is among the highest earnings of any post office in the nation.
The McLeodganj post office is the only one in the state that can send the most packages and expedited mail to over 100 countries, including the United States, England, France, Germany, Australia, Spain, Russia, Ethiopia, Canada, Japan, and China. In roughly 100 countries, including Australia, Japan, China, and Canada, the McLeodganj Post Office made 83 lakh 60 thousand through 1927 speed posts and 82 lakh 90 thousand through 1830 parcels. In the rest of the country, it made 18 lakhs through 13 thousand seven hundred ninety speed posts and 13 lakhs through 1830 parcels.
3024 parcels and 66.7 lakhs from 4306 speed posts brought in Rs 1.15 crore for the McLeodganj Post Office in 2023–2024. In 2022–2023, 2815 parcels brought in 92 lakhs, while 3379 speed posts brought in almost 59 lakhs. In light of this, earnings this year have significantly increased in comparison to last year. The Postal Department began shipping mail overseas as part of a further modernization and technological advancement, which directly benefits foreign visitors and those who visit McLeodganj, a popular tourist destination in the Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh.
