In view of urgent Metalling and Tarring work on the Talland to Khalini Junction road, the District Magistrate, Shimla, Anupam Kashyap (IAS) has ordered a night-time traffic restriction from 10:00 PM to 5:30 AM on 28th and 29th May 2025.
The order, issued under Sections 115 & 117 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, follows a request from the Executive Engineer, HPPWD Shimla Division No. III and recommendations by the Superintendent of Police, Shimla.
Traffic Diversion Plan:
Talland to Khalini traffic to be diverted via: Talland – Chhota Shimla – Brockhurst – Kasumpti and vice versa.
Buses from Upper Shimla to ISBT will ply via: Chhota Shimla – Old Bus Stand – ISBT.
Buses from BCS to Old Bus Stand will take: Khalini – ISBT – Tutikandi Crossing – Old Bus Stand.
Buses from Old Shimla to BCS/New Shimla/Vikasnagar will use: Old Bus Stand – Tutikandi Crossing – ISBT – Lower Khalini – BCS.
Only emergency vehicles are exempted from this restriction.
