Mandi: A political row has surfaced in Himachal Pradesh after Ayush, Youth Services & Sports, and Law Minister Yadvinder Goma submitted a privilege motion notice against Mandi Deputy Commissioner Apoorv Devgan for allegedly violating official protocol during the Republic Day celebrations.
The Minister accused the Deputy Commissioner of failing to remain present during his arrival in Mandi on January 25 and not making any prior intimation or alternative administrative arrangement. Calling it a serious breach of established government protocol, Goma stated that the incident undermined the dignity of his office.
The notice has been submitted to the Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, seeking action over what the Minister described as a matter of privilege and decorum.
