Shimla, BJP MLA Dr. Janak Raj, while raising questions on the functioning of the current Congress government, said that if the government has to issue advertisements to any news agency, then there must be some rules for it and the way the current Congress government has issued more than 2 crores to its family newspaper, National Herald, raises many questions on the functioning of the government.
He said that the sad thing is that not even a single copy of the newspaper of this family reaches Himachal Pradesh, and the people of Himachal do not even know that any such newspaper is published or comes to Himachal Pradesh. Despite that, such a huge advertisement amount is given to this newspaper by the government, which is not fair. Himachal Pradesh also has a state newspaper. If the present government had given it this money, then a true example of self-reliant Himachal would have come to the fore.
He said that we want to tell the Congress party that the money given to this newspaper is the public’s money and not yours, and this is a clear case of misuse of public money.
