Relief and rehabilitation work continues on a war footing: MLA Neeraj Nayyar

MLA Neeraj Nayyar today on Saturday visited the disaster affected areas in Gram Panchayat Mangala, Tapun, Kupahada, Khajjiar, Rathiyar, Baktapur, Basaudhan and Kolka under the assembly constituency and took stock of the situation on the spot.
During this, he met the affected families and listened to their problems and assured them of all possible help and cooperation. He said that the state government stands firmly with the disaster affected families and relief and rehabilitation work is being done on a war footing.
The MLA directed the concerned departmental officers to take immediate action for distribution of relief material in the disaster affected areas, restoration of road, drinking water, electricity and communication services and maintaining smooth health facilities. He also directed the administration to fulfill the needs of the people on priority and provide immediate relief to the affected families.
He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the state government is taking every problem of the disaster affected people seriously and relief and rehabilitation work is also being carried forward at a fast pace in the Chamba Assembly constituency.
It is noteworthy that MLA Neeraj Nayyar is continuously visiting all the disaster affected Panchayats under the Assembly constituency Chamba and personally assessing the situation.
He also assured that long term plans are also being prepared for the rehabilitation of the affected families and security of their future, so as to provide a permanent solution to deal with such situations.
